The Turf-Tec Grass Height Prism Gauge is made from solid glass and aircraft aluminum. It is designed to tell you the actual height of cut that the mower is making on the turfgrass area. By placing the specially designed prism directly on the golf green, tee, fairway or athletic field and looking through the instrument in the direction of cut, you can determine the actual height of cut as well as the quality of cut and smoothness of the surface. The Turf-Tec Grass Height Prism Gauge features graduated measurement lines, printed on the solid aluminum frame, that are superimposed on the turf allowing you to measure the actual height of the turfgrass and compare it with mower bench settings. The "quality" of cut may also be inspected by comparing the turf over the viewing plane of the prism in the direction of cut. Graduated lines are shown at 10th of an inch increments and 0.020 inch lines also shows 1.0 mm intervals. The overall scales measures grass up to 1 5/8th inches or 40 millimeters tall. It is ideal for inspecting golf greens, soccer fields, baseball infields, cricket pitches, grass tennis courts or any finely manicured space that cutting height and surface smoothness is important. Prism is 6 1/2 x 5 1/2 x 2 3/8 inches (16.5 x 14 x 6 cm) in size.

Grass Height Prism Gauge includes a solid glass prism mounted in a secure aircraft aluminum bracket with readings in millimeters and inches (1/16th - 1 5/8th inch) and (1 mm - 40 mm).
