Turf-Tec Grass Lawn Height of Cut Gauge

The Turf-Tec Grass Lawn Height of Cut Gauge is designed for most home lawn grass. The 1/8 inch thick plastic gauge shows the proper cutting height for lawns of 3.5 to 4.0 inches for Tall Fescue Grass, Bluegrass and Saint Augustine Grass varieties of turf.

The unit is made of high impact plastic and can tell grass height in inches or millimeters. Simply mow a test area on the lawn and then push the bottom spike into the soil until the bottom of the unit comes in firm contact with the soil. Look at the gauge and you can see the actual cutting height of the grass.

This method will measure the actual height of the turfgrass so you can compare it with mower settings.

The Turf-Tec Grass Lawn Height of Cut Gauge shows height of cut in 1/2 inch increments from 1/2 inch to 5 1/2 inches

Instructions

 

  1. Directly after mowing the grass or a test area, push the bottom spike into the soil until the bottom of the gauge is on the soil surface

  2. Once the bottom of the gauge is on the soil surface, you have inserted the Turf-Tec Grass Lawn Height of Cut Gauge to the proper depth

  3. Sight along the top of the grass and read scale
